Through the window I could see
The city lights growing dim,
It would be great to see the stars
But tonight it is dark.

All the people passing by
In the streets and talking loud,
They don't know what I know,
They are there but so far.

If only they'll look up
They may change me this time,
They could give me one more night
To be alone and watch the sky.

But they don't care and so don't I,
Because it all will end tonight
And as they search the reason why
There'll be a corpse but not a life.
